Age 45 - The 1900 census indicates a Albin P. and Effie S. Stickel living in Chapel District, Clark Co., VA. Living in their home is a Nora L. (Age 10). Albin is listed as 45 and Effie is 35 and they have been married for 16 years. Alvin is working as a farmer.

Age 55 - The 1910 census shows his 4th child - Mathew B. Stickel (born 1906) living with his father.

Age 65 - The 1920 Census shows his 3rd child - Humphrey Stickel (born 1907) and 5th child - Floyd Calvin Stickel (born 1910) both living with their father.

According to Larry Stickles Joseph is buried in Ebenezer Church and Graveyard, however, his wife who died 8 years earlier is buried at Green Hill Cemetery and has a large stone.
