Comments: The 1880 Census shows a James and Alice Stickles living in Eagle Point, Chippewa County, Wisconsin. James is listed a 26 years old and wife Alice is 20 years. His occupation is listed as a logger.
The 1910 Census shows James "Stickles" as being 60 years old and his occupation is listed as a farmer. His wife Maria is 55 years old. There are three children living in the house: Lee (21 yrs), Grace (16 yrs), and Edward (7 yrs). All three of these children are listed as being born in Virginia. Maria also indicates that she had given birth to 7 children and 6 were still alive.
The 1920 Census shows James and Maria still living in Clark County. James age is 70 years and his occupation is listed as a manager for a farm. James owns his farm or home outright. Maria is listed as 65 years old. They have one child living at home: Lee (31 yrs) and his occupation is listed as a laborer. All three claim to be able to read and write.
Henry Lee Stickel is also buried at Providence Chapel Cemetery.
