Amos Tomblin

Amos Tomblin, 80, of Route 1, Box 151, Boyce, died Sunday in Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Tomblin was May 30, 1914, in Clarke County, the son of Burr Jackson and Mary Shepherd Tomblin. He was manager of Bellfield Farm in Boyce since 1945. He attended Providence Chapel United Methodist Church. He was the founders of the Clarke County Little League.

He married Ethel Elizabeth Gray in 1955 (should say 1933).

Surviving with his wife, are four sons, Lambert C. Tomblin and Amory M. Tomblin, both of Boyce, Amos L. Tomblin of Troutville, and William L. Tomblin of Paris; two sisters, Madeline Breeden of Winchester and Dora Smallwood of Berryville; two brothers, Garland Tumblin of Berryville and Elwood Tomblin of Stephens City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Enders Funeral Home, Berryville, with the Rev. Kathleen Monge officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville.

Pallbearers will be Scott Tomblin, Steve Tomblin, Bryan Tomblin, Bill Tavenner, Larry Tavenner, and Arthur Breeden.

Friends may call anytime at the Tomblin home.
