Margaret Stickel, 71, of Winchester, died Monday, June 16, 2006 in Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg. Mrs. Stickel was born March 18, 1935 in Clarke County, the daughter of William Lester and Lillie Sours Jenkins. She worked for the Environmental Department at the former Shawnee Springs Nursing Home.

She married Olvia Clayton Stickel on Feb. 7, 1953. Mr. Stickel died July 14, 1988. Surviving are a daughter, Rose Marie Pulse of Charles Town, WV; five sisters, Gladys Jenkins, Dorothy Combs and Ethel Mae Lam of Winchester, Elsie Leonard of Martinsburg, WV; and Lillie Milburn of Summit Point, WV; four brothers, Leo Jenkins of Rippon WV, Russell Jenkins of Berryville, Charles Jenkins of White Post, and Roy Jenkins of Mt. Pleasant SC; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Simon Jenkins and Jimmy Jenkins are deceased.

A funeral will be at 2 PM Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, Winchester with the Rev. Rick Kerfoot officiating. Burial will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Greg Jenkins, Scott Treenary, Brian Leonard, Steve Combs, Larry Knight and Charles Jenkins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials maybe made to the Margaret Stickel Funeral Home, c/o Rose Marie Pulse, P.O. Box 222, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
