Verla Marlene Zirkle, 73, of Louisville, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009 at Green Meadows Health and Wellness Center in Louisville. She was born September 23, 1936 in Belington, a daughter of the late Herbert B. and Daisy Haddix Zirkle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Wilbert Zirkle.

Verla is survived by a brother, Mendel C. Zirkle and wife Wren of Buckhannon; a sister, Sally Ann Isgro and husband Larry of Louisville; a sister-in-law, Anna Mae Zirkle of Buckhannon; an aunt, Dema Carr of Belington and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was also blessed with a number of friends, her Exceptional Class at Canton Baptist Temple and wonderful caregivers at Green Meadows.

Friends will be received at Poling-St.Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon, today, Monday, October 5, 2009 from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral service will then be at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ed McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Philippi.
