Obituary
Thomas George Stickel, Son of Doyle Eugene Stickel and Charlotte Shane Beardsley Stickel was born Tuesday, January 11, 1949 in Indianola, Iowa and passed from this life Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Manor Care in West Des Moines at 59 years of age.

Thomas received his education in the Interstate 35 Schools, graduating in 1967. He later attended graduated from AIB and attended Grandview College and NWMSU. He was united in marriage to Cathy Anne Luther on August 8, 1982 at Leon, Iowa.

Thomas worked as a Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator for The City of Ida Grove from 1982 until 1986 when he went to work for The City of Knoxville , until retirement in 1999. He was a member of and Involved with Boy Scouts since 1975; Scout Master in Granger 1976-1980; Order of the Arrow as a scout; District Award of Merit in 1979Grand Lodge of Iowa - Gavel Lodge A.F. & A.M. 229 in Attica, IA. Those relatives who preceded Tom in death were his wife, Cathy Anne Luther in 2001 and father, Doyle Eugene Stickel in 2002.

He leaves to cherish his memory; Daughter, Crystal Mace and husband Greg of Casa Grande, AZ; Grandchildren, Brittany and Gregory; Mother, Charlotte Stickel of Des Moines, IA; Brother, John Stickel and wife Ginny of Des Moines, Iowa as well as other relatives and many friends.
