John Edward "Bud" Stickel, 69, of Route 2, Berryville, died Sunday in Winchester Memorial Hospital. A funeral was held at 2 PM yesterday at the Enders Funeral Home, Berryville with the Rev. Robert Moore officiating. Burial was in the Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville.

Mr. Stickel was born July 13, 1914 in Clarke County, son of the late Oliva Clay and Katie Broy Stickel. He was a retired plumber from Thomas Plumbing and Heating and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen.

Surviving are three sisters, Marie Stickel, Ida Leak and Rosa Gardner, all of Berryville, and a brother Oliva "Chippie" Stickel of Berryville
