Cedric "Teddy" Nitz, age 53, of Minerva died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, in the Great Trail Care Center.

Born Jan. 15, 1957, in Buchanan,WV, he was a son to Verlin Nitz of Malvern and the late Virgie (Howard) Nitz.

He was a self employed Auto Mechanic.

He is survived by two daughters, Brandi (Josh) Rhoads of Carrollton and Nicole Nitz of Minerva; four sons, Ryan Burbank, Wilson Nitz and Parker "Rusty" Nitz, all of Minerva and Gilbert (Amy) Snyder IV of Greenville, SC; father and stepmother, Verlin and Mary Nitz of Malvern; eight brothers and sisters, John Howard and Roger (Jean) Howard, both of West Virginia, Linda (Gene) Lanham and Sherry (David) Small, both of Carrollton, Barbara Baum of Alliance, Steve Nitz of Dalton, and Verlin (Loretta) Nitz Jr. and Sondra Bailey, both of Minerva and 11 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Danny Howard.

Funeral services were held March 2 in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Gabe Norris officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home.
