John Lewis McDonald of Berryville died in Winchester Memorial Hospital Monday, May 4 at 12:55 PM. Mr. McDonald was born August 15, 1906 in Berryville, a son of Mrs. Catherine Broy McDonald and the late Lewis Edward McDonald. For a number of years, he had worked as a house painter in Berryville and Clarke county.

Active pallbearers will be Roy Locke, Willard Sipe, Alvin Grubs, Lloyd Elsea, Ted May and Eddie Stickles. Honorary pallbearers will be Oscar Ramsburg, Dr. Carroll H Iden, Harold Potts, Roy Potts Jr., Garland Williams, Eustace Jackson, Jobson McGehee, Floyd McWilliams, Bill Shackleford, Hunter Longerbeam, Sr., Albert Nicodemus and Amos Seal. Interment will be in the Green Hill Cemetery.
