We are planning a surprise 75th Birthday Party for our mother, Ms. Katherine Elizabeth Stickels McClure, AKA, Betty or Betts to some of you.

We want to keep this a surprise so we ask that you not say anything to the unsuspecting (but always suspicious) victim, our mother.

Let’s get one thing straight, everyone is invited!!

These documents are to be mailed, forwarded or hand delivered to all the Stickels wherever they may be. If you have received this letter or e-mail you are hereby authorized, in fact it is your duty to go forth and spread the good word of this upcoming event.

Who knows we may even have some fun.

Speaking of fun, we have put together what should be an exciting weekend and a full week of activity, so rest up before coming South as only the strong should consider doing everything. Just kidding, we want all of you to enjoy our great weather and natural beauty for as long as possible.

All events will be held in the Fort Myers area beginning Friday, March 22, 2002 and ending when the last relative leaves town or Monday, April 1,2002, when my sister and I must return to work.

You are cheerfully invited to escape the grip of winter and venture to beautiful Southwest Florida for rest, relaxation and reunion with the Stickels clan. This event is sponsored by the rowdy side of the family and your attendance is expected. You may choose to limit your time in Fort Myers to the opening weekend and the surprise 75^th birthday party for our mother, (your sister, aunt or cuz), the lovely, shy and retiring Katherine Elizabeth Stickels McClure. For those who enjoy the wild side we invite you stay the week, if you can handle the fun.

We have reserved a local country club dining facility for the opening activity, (Surprise BD Party), for Saturday, March 23, 2002 from 1 to 4 PM and we have planned a variety of family activities to follow.

The following is the tentative activities planned during the reunion week.

This is a proposed schedule, subject to change at a whim or without prior notice. We will have a great time and I hope that all of you are able to attend.

We have made group reservations at several area hotels and you may request additional information on the attached response form. If you have special needs, health issues or limited funds please contact me personally so we can make arrangements with family and friends to accommodate you.

If you who would like there are even campgrounds and state parks for those who enjoy the outdoors.
