Dolly Ann Longerbeam, 60, of Martinsburg, W. VA., died Friday at her home. Mrs. Longerbeam was born July 20, 1932 in Berryville, the daughter of John Humphrey and Gladys Oiler Sickles. She was a graduate of Warrenton High School and attended Manassas Vocational Business School and Shepherd College. She was employed by Community Oil Company in Martinsburg. She was a secretary at Clarke County High School from 1969 to 1978, and had also been an employee of Shenandoah Marketing Corp. The Clarke County High School Yearbook, the Talon, was dedicated to her in 1975, making her the first person other then an educator to receive that honor. She helped to organize the Ladies Auxiliary of the Enders Fire Company and Rescue Squad. She was a Cub Scouts den mother for eight years, an active member and a former secretary of the American Red Cross, and a member of Berryville Baptist Church.

She was married to Hunter R "Buddy" Longerbeam Jr. on Aug. 19, 1950 in Hagerstown, MD. He died on Dept. 27, 1986. Surviving are one son, Jay Steven Longerbeam; and two grandchildren.

A funeral will be at 10 AM, Monday in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, with the Rev. Mark Miller officiating. Friends may call at Enders Funeral Home on Sunday. Memorials may be made to John H Enders Fire Company and Rescue Squad and the Ladies Auxiliary at 9 S. Buckmarsh St. Berryville.
