	Comments: The following obit for Joseph appeared in the June 14, 1955 local newspaper: JOSEPH "DUTCH" MCCAULEY DIED IN HOSPITAL HERE ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT Joseph (Dutch) Baker McCauley, aged 73, passed away in the Charles Town General Hospital at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday night. He was born in Jefferson County, January 29th, 1882 and was the son of the late William and Jane Hoff McCauley. Mr. McCauley worked for several years for the Harness Factory and for Clarene Ramey's Shoe Store. For the past 30 years he has had his own shoe repair shop. He is a member of St. James Catholic Church (a 50 year member of Shenandoah Tribe No 3) Improved Order of Red Men, also Charles Town Lodge 94 Loyal Order of Moose. He is survived by his wife, Ida Locke McCauley,at home, 107 Charles Street, three daughters,Mrs. Albert Harsh, Brunswick, MD; Mrs. Russell Grams, Silver Spring, MD; and Mrs. Gorden Chaney, Washington DC; two sons; Fred B McCauley, Charles Town, Willard L McCauley, Martinsburg. Nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral will probably be Saturday, but complete arrangements were not made at this time. Friends may call at the Smith and Strider Funeral Home.
